An antioxidant-packed, low sugar and nutrient-dense smoothie to kick start your day. Berry, pomegranate and beet are all jam-packed with nutrients and antioxidants and low in natural sugar. They are also anti-inflammatory which is perfect for our skin. Beet is definitely not too overpowering in the smoothie and helps intensifying the pigment of this smoothie. I added half a banana as a sugar substitute.

Eat the rainbow – make your diet colourful. By consuming colourful foods, we are providing an array of vitamins and minerals to our body, protecting our cells from oxidative damages, strengthening our immune system and nourishing our body.


  • 1 cup of mixed frozen berries
  • 1/4 cup of pomegranate
  • 1/4 cup of beet
  • Half frozen banana
  • 1 tbsp of cacao powder
  • 1 cup of rice milk (or any plant-based milk)
  • 1/2 scoop of vegan protein powder (optional)
  • 2 tbsp of chia seed (for garnishing)


Add all of the ingredients to a blender and blend for 30 seconds on high, or until creamy.
